DAY NINE

FESTIVAL DAY FOUR!!!
We started off our day by having a class meeting with Grail Mortillaro at the Freewell tent. We had some coffee and small pastries and listened to Grail tell his career journey as well as answer a ton of our questions. I thought his journey from starting with aspirations as a punk rock drummer to the Executive Creative Director at Comcast Advertising.
After that meeting we went to the Terrace to see Josh Richards, Steven He and Drea Okeke speak at A New Era of Entertainment. This talk was underwhelming, I had this one on my original plan but I ended up leaving after fifteen minutes. I felt all the speakers were repeating the same points and a lot of it was social media common sense.

We tried to go to Sports Beach to see the Kelce brothers talk but they were at capacity so instead we headed back over to the Woman's Equality Lounge for the last time, so sad. But we stayed there for a few talks and enjoyed conversing with the people on the rooftop as well.
1. Inclusive Advertising: Creativity That Brings People Together Hosted by Steve Kearns, Valeria Piaggio and Tristan
I liked this talk, the speakers had a unique perspective that I hadn't heard a lot from before, an interesting talk nonetheless but I don't have any takeaways that really stood out to me.
2. Cultural Cornerstones: Authentic Engagement with Latine Gen Z Hosted by Alexandra Kennedy, Thatiana Diaz, Javier Farfan, Deborah Renteria and Karina Cabrera Bell
Again, an interesting talk with interesting perspectives, especially since I have never heard a Latine perspective on the topics discussed, but I still did not have a lot of notable takeaways.
That was all for day four, at this point I was exhausted so we went back to the hotel and slept for almost fourteen hours, but we all definitely needed it.
