DAY TEN
LAST DAY OF FESTIVAL!!!
Started the day off with a complimentary brunch on the Terrace, which was good and we all debriefed as a group for a little bit. Then we headed over to meet up with Cara Mia Cecchini and Mia Rafowitz who are both Creative Directors at DROGA5 and past UM students who also attended the Cannes study abroad program when they were students. Cara and Mia were so awesome and I seriously consider them role models now. They provided us with honest and authentic answers about their careers and they talked about how the festival "put a fire under their asses" when it came to getting serious about their careers and I loved that they shared that.
After our meeting, my friends and I went and shopped on Rue D'Antibes again and headed back to the hotel early to get ready for the final award-show and afterparty.
We arrived at the Palais around 5:00pm and got in line for the award-show. Awards were great as always, I did see a lot of the same case studies winning multiple Lions which was impressive. Then it was time to head over to the afterparty hosted by the Ritz Carlton Hotel. They had redesigned their beach club into a giant dance floor with a DJ, open bar and hors d'oeuvres. This party was so much fun and a great way to close out the week! Our class had so much fun dancing together and watching the fireworks, truly an unforgettable night.
