Canes in Cannes
DAY ONE
I arrived in Nice in the late afternoon and took a car straight to the Hotel Amarante in Cannes. I met my roommate Kate, dropped off our bags, and headed to La Croisette Beach Club for some lunch and tanning. We enjoyed the best combo of Caesar salad, fries, and of course an Aperol spritz. The view was gorgeous, and after lunch, we relaxed in the sun.
A group of us then walked around Rue D'Antibes for shopping and exploring. My highlight was the pharmacy, and I loved the charming French architecture. Later, we returned to the hotel, changed, and went to dinner at UVA, which was delicious, I had the Lobster Ravioli and it was amazing. We were tired, so we didn’t stay out long and went to bed early to recharge for tomorrow. This was the day we discovered Uber van's and they were our favorite way to ride in style for the rest of the trip. My tip for beating jet lag is to avoid napping the first day and stick to a regular bedtime to help your body adjust faster.
