FESTIVAL TIPS

Below are some tips I have for attending the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity to help your festival days run smoothly and make the most of your experience.

• Dress comfortably!  Wear comfortable shoes and airy clothing, definitely still dress cute because it is a professional environment and there are lots of photo ops!

• Bring a journal! Way easier to write everything down than your notes app and prevents you from looking like you are texting during a talk instead of note taking.

• Introduce yourself! Do not be afraid to introduce yourself to someone, whether they are a celebrity, founder, or just a stranger you never know what may come from the conversation.

• Fringe Events! Look into events hosted around the festival, especially the yachts and surrounding hotels, there is a ton of cool stuff going on right outside the festival.

• Plan ahead! I wish I had done a bit more research about specific fun events like run clubs or happy hours that I needed to sign up for in advance, I missed out on some events because I didn't sign-up in time.
